Jayda Veinot, of the women’s basketball team, is the UNB REDS/Valley Graphics female Athlete of the Month, for January.
Veinot played a major role in the REDS 6-and-1 record in January and their place atop the Atlantic University Sport standings.
She scored 22 or more points in five of UNB’s seven games, including one 31-point and one 28-point performance.
“Jayda carries a lot of our work load,” said REDS head coach Erin McAleenan. “She scores, but her decision-making and her ability to find her teammates really helps us. She continually demonstrates that she’s among the best players in our league.”
The REDS conclude their 2023-24 regular season schedule with five games in February, including three on home court.
