REDS EVENTS And UNBSU Presenting The Reklaws

(FREDERICTON, NB) UNB’s Student Union and REDS Events are pleased to announce they’re bringing six-time Canadian Country Music Award winners ,The Reklaws, to UNB’s Richard J. CURRIE CENTER on Friday, February 3rd.

Tickets go on sale Thursday, January 19th at 10:00am and can be purchased online at www.goredsgo.ca or, in person, at the Aitken Centre box office.

The show, presented by New Country 92.3, will be the centrepiece of the UNBSU’s 2023 Winter Carnival.

“We’re very excited to partner with the UNBSU on their Winter Carnival concert,” said Nick Zildjan, REDS Marketing and Sales Manager. “We’re building on a great relationship between the REDS and the Student Union, we get to showcase UNB’s beautiful CURRIE CENTER, and everyone gets to enjoy one of the hottest acts in Canadian country music.”

The Reklaws, sibling duo Jenna and Stuart Walker, found breakout success with their single “Long Live the Night,” which became the most-streamed domestic song of all Canadian country music artists and the theme song for Canadian Football League broadcasts on TSN.

In 2021, the Reklaws claimed two CCMAs for group or duo of the year and top selling Canadian single.

They followed that success with two more CCMAs in 2022, again winning for top selling Canadian single and group or duo of the year.

The Reklaws are five-time JUNO nominees, have seen three singles land at No. 1 on Canadian radio charts, have had 11 gold and seven platinum singles and a gold album.

“It’s going to be a magical night at the CURRIE CENTER,” says Zildjan. “We’re bringing top level talent to UNB and country music fans in Fredericton.”

Burton’s Riley Taylor will be the Reklaws’ special guest.
