BMO CENTRE
The BMO Centre is home to the University of New Brunswick’s women’s and men’s Reds soccer teams. The facility, which operates year-round, features a 110yd. by 78yd. standard FIFA and U SPORTS sized artificial turf field. From mid-November until mid-April, the facility operates under a dome on a 78yd. by 50yd. field.
Opened in 2011, the BMO Centre features dressing rooms and coach’s offices for both Reds teams, a large electronic score board, lighting and sound system, a media and scorekeeping box, full and half size nets, and field goal posts. Dressing rooms for visiting teams are located in the adjacent Aitken University Centre.
“The BMO Centre enables us to provide UNB players with a unique student-athlete experience. This indoor and outdoor facility allows us to develop our players through training and competitions throughout the year. We also use the BMO Centre to host a number of youth programs that give our student-athletes the opportunity to connect with our community, develop professional skills, and earn part-time salaries.”
Jon Crossland, REDS women's soccer head coach
While primarily a soccer and football facility, BMO also hosts rugby, lacrosse, ultimate frisbee, and, during the winter a golf driving range.
The BMO Centre has played host to major soccer championship events, including the 2024 Atlantic University Sport men's soccer championship tournament, the 2017 Soccer Canada U17 girls and boys soccer championships, the 2013 U SPORTS men’s soccer championship tournament, and the 2008 Soccer Canada under 18 girls and boys championships.
