(MONCTON, NB) At the Atlantic University Sport women's volleyball league tournament in Moncton, the UNB Varsity Reds dropped a pair of matches on Saturday.
On Saturday evening, the Dalhousie Tigers blanked the Varsity Reds 3-0, with scores of 25-12, 25-17, and 25-12. Julie Moore registered 13 kills for Dal, while Courtney Baker had 11 digs. Megan MacNeil had five kills for UNB.
On Saturday morning, the Memorial Sea-Hawks were 3-1 winners over the Varsity Reds, in an exciting game.
The Sea-Hawks won the first two close sets, 27-25 and 26-24, before UNB rallied to win the third 25-19.
Memorial took the fourth set 25-17.
Emma Hackett had 15 kills and 11 digs for the Sea-Hawks while Kristen Burns registered 17 kills for the V-Reds.
The AUS tournament wraps up Sunday afternoon with the host U de M Aigles Bleues taking on the Varsity Reds at 4:00pm. The match is on www.austv.ca
