Doucet first recruit of 14-15 volleyball program
The Varsity Reds women's volleyball program is pleased to announce Janie-Eve Doucet as their first recruit for the 2014-15 season.
Doucet, from Allardville, NB, played four years with Bathurst Club Volleyball Chaleur High Performance and for three summers she played for Team New Brunswick. In 2012 she played for at the National Team Challenge Cup with the Under 19 team.
Doucet, a three-time athlete of the year at École secondaire Népisiguit, is excited to attend UNB. "I will commit 110% to the Varsity Reds volleyball team. I can't wait to play with these amazing players and I hope we will have a lot of success next year."
UNB head coach Jillian Goulet, also the head coach of the New Brunswick Volleyball Team at the 2013 Summer Canada Games, had the opportunity of working with Doucet prior to and during the Games. She had this to say about her latest recruit, "Janie-Eve was a pleasure to coach and a key performer on the Canada Games team this summer. I look forward to bringing her abilities, attitude, passion and work ethic to our team."
Doucet will study in the Faculty of Business when she attends UNB in the fall of 2014.
