In 2023-24, Marta Belsh is in her fifth season as head coach of the UNB REDS women’s and men’s swimming teams.

She took over the teams in 2019, part of an agreement reached between the REDS and the Fredericton Aquanauts Swim Team, or FAST. Belsh remains the head coach of FAST as part of that deal.

With almost 30 years of experience as a swimming coach, Belsh is in her 16^thseason as the head coach of FAST.

A former member of the Polish national junior team, Belsh holds Senior Coach certification and an Advanced Coaching Diploma from Canada’s National Coaches Certification Program. She’s a Master Coach Developer for Swimming Canada and, in May of 2022, was re-elected as a board member with the Canadian Swimming Coaches Association.
