Bewsher Leads REDS
(WOLFVILLE, NS) The first meet of the 2021-22 Atlantic University Sport swimming season came to an end on Sunday, at Acadia University.
Sydney Bewsher led the UNB REDS contingent, swimming to a second place finish in the women's 400-metre individual medley.
A pair of UNB women's relay teams earned third place finishes.
Alexie Sanford, Maggie Gray, Jennifer Moore and Isabelle Stewart combined to swim third in the 4 by 50-metre freestyle relay.
Sanford, Gray and Moore then teamed with Sophie Casey to take third in the 4 by 100-metre medley relay.
The Dalhousie Tigers won the combined team, women's and men's titles.
The REDS finished fourth in the combined team and women's competitions, and fifth in the men's standings.
The next meet on the AUS schedule is UNB's Amby Legere Invitational, October 30th and 31st, at the Sir Max Aitken Pool.
