Martin Leads V-Reds Women At Dal Invitational
3rd place in women's 400m IM
(HALIFAX, NS) On the second day of the Dalhousie Invitational swim meet, the host Tigers won seven of the 18 events on the schedule.
Acadia swimmers won five events, while swimmers from Memorial won four, and Mount Allison swimmers won two.
UNB's Noah Horwood finished a close second in the men's 50-metre breaststroke, just one one-hundredth of a second back of Acadia's Adam Deutsch.
On the women's side, Varsity Reds' veteran Andrea Greene was 4th in the women's 50-metre backstroke, while Kayla Martin swam 3rd in the women's 400-metre individual medley.
After two days of competition, Dalhousie won both the men's and women's team honours.
Next on the schedule, the Subway Atlantic University Sport Swimming Championships, February 9-11, at the Canada Games Aquatic Centre, in Saint John, where the UNB Varsity Reds will host.
