LeBlanc Qualifies For CIs In 100M Freestyle
(HALIFAX, NS) In the first day of competition at Dalhousie University's Kemp-Fry Invitational Swim Meet, 24 swimmers met CIS championship qualifying times.
McGill had 11 swimmers post CIS qualifying times. The host Tigers also had 11 swimmers make their mark.
UNB's Lauren Adam won the women's 50m breaststroke and Charli LeBlanc posted a CIS qualifying time with her second place finish in the women's 100m backstroke.
At the end of day one, McGill is leading the men's meet with 166 points after capturing five of the nine events, followed by Dalhousie who won four events with 112. Acadia grabbed 45 points, Memorial 16, UNB 12, MtA 9 and UPEI 2.
On the women's side, McGill leads with 130 points after winning three of the nine events. Following closely behind is Dalhousie who won five events with 123. UNB is in third with 46, while Acadia has 39, MtA 19 and UPEI six.
Day two of the Kemp-Fry Invitational starts Sunday at 10:00AM for heats. Finals go at 4:00PM.
