(SACKVILLE, NB) The UNB Varsity Reds beat the Mount Allison Mounties 3-0 Saturday, in Sackville.
The win was UNB's fourth in their last five games.
The Varsity Reds have now wrapped up their Atlantic University Sport regular season schedule, finishing with a record of 4-4-4.
Whether UNB advances to the Subway AUS Women's Soccer Championships is still up in the air, and depends on the outcome of other games.
The Mounties end the season with a 1-11 record.
It was a well fought, aggressive battle from both teams.
UNB took the lead early in the game on a goal by Mackenzie Sinclair(Camperdown, NS), in the 10th minute.
Jelisa Joncas(Burlington, ON) added to UNB's lead in the 19th minute, and Abby Sullivan(Orleans, MASS) scored in the 70th minute.
Rebecca Duda(Halifax, NS) earned the clean sheet in the Varsity Reds' net.
