(FREDERICTON, NB) The Cape Breton University Capers scored three second half goals to beat the UNB Varsity Reds 3-0, Saturday at UNB's BMO Centre.

Keona Simmonds(Brampton, ON) scored the eventual game-winner in the 57^th minute.

Ciera Disipio(Ottawa, ON) and Rachel Leck(Pickering, ON) added goals in the 65^th and 73^rd minute respectively.

Disipio drew an assist on Leck's goal, earning Subway Player of the Game honours.

"It was a really tiring game to play in the heat, but it was worth it. It was a great game," said Disipio.

Lysianne Trottier(Barrie, ON) earned the shut-out in the Capers goal.

"They're fast, they're technical," said Varsity Reds fullback Emily Burton(Halifax, NS). "There were a couple of good runs by them, they got their crosses in, found the soft spot and put it in the net."

The Capers improve to 2-0 with the win, and head to Moncton for a game on Sunday.

The Varsity Reds are now 0-3. UNB hosts St FX on Sunday. Kick-off is scheduled for 1:00pm.

"I think as a group we're still working together and getting better and filling in those gaps. I think, for tomorrow, we'll be ready to go," said Burton.
