UNB Women's Soccer team lose to Memorial 2-1
October 14, 2012
The UNB Women lost their second game against Memorial University Seahawks with a final score of 2-1.
"There was points in the game that we were under control and had the run of play and dictated things, and then there were portions of the game where it was the exact opposite," said Head Coach Jon Crossland.
"We've got to put this behind us, come back on Tuesday and get ready for a big weekend next weekend."
Samantha Lagacy scored UNB's only goal a mere four minutes into the game.
"It makes me feel good, but we missed some chances there at the end, so that's in the past and that's not what I'm thinking about," said Lagacy.
Taking one point away from a double-header weekend, the girls now stand in eighth place for the Atlantic University Sports standings.
The women play Mount Allison and Dalhousie this coming weekend.
