REDS Stumble In Semi-Final
(HALIFAX, NS) The UNB REDS bowed out of the 2025 Atlantic University Sport women's curling championship in Sunday's semi-final.
The defending champs dropped a 6-4 decision to the eventual champion Dalhousie Tigers.
"Our result today stings," said REDS' skip Jenna Campbell. "Losing a big game always does, but we feel we played well overall. We knew it would be a close game, so the margin for error was small."
The REDS led the Tigers 3-2 through five ends, but surrendered a steal of three in the sixth and couldn't recover.
"We left it all out there and fought hard until the end," said Campbell. "We're always proud to represent the REDS."
The Tigers went on to defeat the STFX X-Women in the championship game. Both Dal and X will represent the AUS at the U SPORTS Championships, in Lethbridge, February 24-28.
