UNB Volleyball Gets a Big �??Piece of the Rock�??

The UNB Varsity Reds Men’s Volleyball Program is pleased to announce that 6’6” middle blocker, Brett Ledrew, will be joining the roster for the upcoming 2010-2011 season.

Brett, a native of Clarenville, NFLD, will add even more size and depth to the V-Reds lineup.  He has risen up through the strong Newfoundland and Labrador Volleyball Association   developmental programs and was a starter for Newfoundland at the 2009 Canada Games this past summer in PEI.

Head Coach Dan McMorran is definitely looking forward to having Brett join the Varsity Reds squad this coming fall.

“Brett will be a great addition to our program.  He is the top recruit coming out of Newfoundland this year, and one of the top in his recruiting class in the Maritimes,” stated McMorran. 

“He is an excellent student, has a great work ethic, and is an athlete that we think will be a solid player for us in the middle position in the years to come.”

Brett will pursue a Bachelor of Chemical Engineering at UNB starting in September
