(ST. JOHN'S, NL) The Memorial Sea-Hawks upset the U SPORTS No. 6 ranked UNB REDS on Saturday afternoon, scoring a dramatic 3-1 victory in St. John's.

With the win, Memorial is now 3-3-1, while the REDS are 5-2-0.

Both teams got started early.

Sea-Hawks forward Jacob Grant (St. John's, NL) opened the scoring in the third minute, off a tremendous feed from Emmanuel Dolo (St. John's, NL).

Three minutes later, on a penalty, UNB's Tom Pheulpin (San Antonio, TX) drew the REDS even.

After an exciting start to the match, both sides would enter the second half deadlocked 1-1.

The Sea-Hawks would come out of the break full of energy.

Grant scored his second of the game in the 59th minute, off another great feed by Dolo.

Memorial captain Harry Carter (St. John's, NL) would add another goal to the home team's cause, delivering a gorgeous header off a corner kick in the 64th minute.

The REDS didn't back down, controlling play for the majority of the last 20 minutes of the match, but the Sea-Hawks' defence was too strong.

Sea-Hawks' keeper Dylan Critchton (Torbay, NL) earned his third victory of the season, making four saves on five shots, while REDS' keeper Louis-Charles Vaillancourt (Sherbrooke, QC) made plenty of huge saves throughout the game, finishing with 10 saves on 13 shots.

Grant was named Subway Player of the Game.

The teams face each other in a re-match on Sunday. Game time is 2:45pm Atlantic.
