(MONCTON, NB) The UNB Varsity Reds scored three second half goals on their way to a 3-1 win over the Universite de Moncton Aigles Bleus on Saturday.
Joe Hamilton(Morecambe, UK), Ben Gorringe(Truro, NS), and Dan Walker(Fredericton, NB) scored in a 17 minute span as UNB dominated play.
The home side scored on a late penalty, in the 88th minute.
Evan Barker(Winnipeg, MB) earned the win in the UNB net.
With the win, the Varsity Reds are now 3-3-2 this season.
Moncton falls to 3-5-0.
The game was interrupted when the Moncton Stadium lights failed. It took almost an hour to get them fixed.
The Varsity Reds return home for a Sunday date with the Mount Allison Mounties. Kick-off is scheduled for 3:15pm, at UNB's BMO Centre.
Moncton is off until Friday, when they visit UNB. Friday's kick-off is scheduled for 7:15pm.
