(FREDERICTON, NB) The UNB Varsity Reds completed their 2017 exhibition schedule with a 2-1 loss to the visiting University of Maine-Ft. Kent Bengals, Sunday at BMO Centre.
Mark Parchment(St. Elizabeth, Jamaica) scored twice, including once on a penalty kick in the 67th minute, to lead the Bengals.
Freshman fullback Joe Hamilton(Morecambe, UK) scored for the Varsity Reds.
The game featured the return of Marcus Lees, Kalen Park, and Evan Barker, to the Varsity Reds line-up. They had been representing Canada at the 2017 Summer Universiade, in Taipei.
The Varsity Reds open their 2017 Atlantic University Sport regular season schedule on Friday, at Acadia.
