(FREDERICTON, NB) The UNB Varsity Reds scored a 2-1 win over the McGill University Redmen in exhibition play, Sunday evening at UNB's BMO Centre.

Newcomer Joe Hamilton(Morecambe, UK) gave the home side an early 1-0 lead when he converted a corner kick in the 4^th minute.

McGill's Michael McIntyre(Pointe-Claire, QC) evened the score in the 17^th minute when he fired a hard shot just underneath the crossbar and into the UNB net.

Alex McNally(Mazerolle Settlement, NB) scored the Varsity Reds' winner, in the 59^th minute.

Pre-season play continues Monday and Tuesday at UNB.

McGill faces the UPEI Panthers on Monday afternoon, at 3:00pm, at BMO Centre.

The Varsity Reds and Panthers meet on the BMO turf on Tuesday, at 11:00am.
