Oisin McKenna and Marcus Lees join soccer team
The University of New Brunswick Men's Soccer Program is pleased to announce the addition of Oisin McKenna and Marcus Lees for the 2013 soccer season.
McKenna is a 17 year old winger/striker from Nashua, New Hampshire. Coming to UNB from the Nashua Cobras Soccer Club McKenna was named to the New Hampshire All-State 2nd team.
"I chose UNB for the impressive education and facilities offered to all students. Playing for the Varsity Reds - I look forward to develop and to improve with a team of such high standards," said McKenna
UNB's Head Coach Miles Pinsent believes McKenna is a tidy and competent midfielder, "I look forward to working with him and watching him continue his development over the next few years."
Lees is from Barrie Ontario and played two years (2008-10) with the Toronto FC U16s and Reserves. He is currently with the Aurora Hearts Football Club and is an "attacking midfielder".
Lees believes that UNB is the best match for him, "I look forward to managing academics, soccer and community life at UNB."
Pinsent is very excited to add one of the top prospects in Canada to the V-Reds short and long term plans, "Marcus will bring a dynamic and attaching flair to our midfield."
Lees will be entering UNB's Bachelor of Science program while McKenna will study business.
