(HALIFAX, NS) The visiting UNB REDS scored four first period goals on route to an 8-2 win over the Dalhousie Tigers in Atlantic University Sport men's hockey action on Saturday night, at the Halifax Forum.

Benjamin Corbeil (Granby, QC) opened the scoring just 1:32 into the game, streaking down the right wing and firing a wrist shot past Tigers' goalie Nicholas Chenard (Tecumseh, ON).

Colton Kammerer (Brooklin, ON) scored his first as a RED and the first of his AUS career just past the eight-minute mark.

Kade Landry (Gowanstown, ON) and Kale McCallum (Rothesay, NB) added goals before the first period expired.

UNB outshot Dal 22-7 over the first 20 minutes.

Joseph Serpa (Cambridge, ON) scored just 20 seconds into the second period to put Dal on the board, but the REDS responded with a power-play goal from captain Jason Willms (Kitchener, ON), McCallum's second, and an end-to-end beauty by Adam McCormick (Waterville, NB), taking a 7-1 lead into the second intermission.

Robbie Forbes (Oakville, ON) replaced Chenard in the Tigers' net to start the final period.

Dal's Dawson Stairs (Fredericton, NB) and UNB's Austen Keating (Guelph, ON) traded goals in the third as the REDS skated away with the 8-2 triumph.

With the twin, the REDS are now 28-0-0-0 (W-L-OTL-SOL) and first in the AUS standings. The Tigers fall to 7-19-2-0 and have been eliminated from playoff contention.

Keating's two-point night solidifies his spot atop the AUS scoring race with two games to play.

McCallum finished the night with two goals and an assist while McCormick had two assists to go along with his goal. Sam McGinley (Calgary, AB) had two assists.

Griffen Outhouse made 24 saves for his 13th win of the season. The Tigers tandem surrendered the eight UNB goals on 50 shots.

Next up for the Tigers, a visit to Acadia, on Friday, for a 7:00pm start.

The REDS play their final road game of the regular season on Wednesday, in Moncton. Game time is 7:00pm.
