(MONCTON, NB) Kale McCallum (Rothesay, NB) scored twice and Brady Gilmour (Grafton, ON) added a goal and two assists as the UNB REDS beat the Université de Moncton Aigles Bleus 4-1 on Saturday night.

Griffen Outhouse (Williams Lake, BC) delivered a stellar performance in goal for the REDS, stopping 32 shots and helping UNB extend their undefeated streak to 16 games.

The REDS got the scoring going at 14:01 of the first period when Sean McGurn (Ottawa, ON) took advantage of a turnover from Aigles Bleus goaltender Oliver Adam (Drummondville, QC). Adam mishandled a puck that took a funny bounce off the end board and popped free in front to McGurn who made no mistake with the finish.

Less than a minute later, Gilmour put together an incredible individual effort dangling around a Moncton defender and deking Adam to put UNB up 2-0.

McCallum continued the offensive onslaught, scoring his first goal just 19 seconds into the second period, on the power play. Taking a pass from Adam McCormick (Waterville, NB), McCallum blasted the puck past Adam, increasing UNB's lead to 3-0.

Moncton managed to break through at 9:17 of the second when Remy Anglehart's (Port-Daniel-Gascons, QC) wrist shot sailed over the shoulder of Outhouse to make it 3-1.

However, McCallum reestablished UNB's three-goal lead with his second goal of the evening, capitalizing on a well-placed feed from Gilmour, making it 4-1.

With the win, UNB improves to 16-0-0-0 (W-L-OTL-SOL) on the season.

The REDS travel to Antigonish on Friday to play the STFX X-MEN. Puck drop is at 7:00 pm.
