(MONCTON, NB) In a back-and-forth affair, the UNB Varsity Reds scored a 5-3 win over les Aigles Bleus, in Moncton on Saturday evening.

Chris Clapperton(Cap d'Espoir, QC) scored twice, the game-winner and into an empty net, his second two-goal game in as many nights. He also had an assist.

Clapperton scored two goals on Friday, as UNB beat UPEI 8-1. It was his first game back after a four-week absence from the Varsity Reds line-up.

Oliver Cooper(Fredericton, NB), Colin Suellentrop(Plantation, FLA), and Tyler Boland(St. John's, NL) also scored for the Varsity Reds, while Marcus McIvor(Whitby, ON) had two assists.

Rylan Parenteau(Saskatoon, SK) made 19 saves to record his fifth win of the season.

With the win, UNB is now 14-0-2. The V-Reds remain atop the Atlantic University Sport standings.

Moncton falls to 2-12-2.

Les Aigles Bleus host Dal on Friday, while the Varsity Reds travel to Saint Mary's. Both games are scheduled to start at 7:00pm.
