Bio
Matias Keranen, #23– (me-tea-is ke-ran-en) Matias is a 1st year graduate student at UNB who first made contact with Gardiner MacDougall at the World University Games in Turino in 2007 when he was playing for Team Finland. He is a grinding forward who is good down low on the cycle and he has played a few games this season with the V-Reds on the energy line. As a teenager Keranen played for both the Finland U16 and U18 international teams, and he later played several years of Division 2 pro hockey in Finland. He did not play hockey the last two seasons and is coming off a summer knee injury.
