REDS Split Wednesday Games
(LETHBRIDGE, AB) UNB's Jamie Stewart rink is 3-and-2 after three days of round-robin play at the U SPORTS Men's Curling Championship, in Lethbridge, Alberta.
UNB scored a 6-4 win over the Calgary Dinos on Wednesday morning before dropping a 7-3 decision to Regina later in the day.
In their morning victory, the REDS scored two in the second, fifth, and seventh ends for their 6-4 triumph.
In the later draw, UNB led 3-2 after five ends, but gave up two in the seventh end and a steal of three in the eighth as the Canada West champs won for the first time in four games.
The REDS are now in a four-way tie for second place in the standings with Memorial, Calgary, and Carleton.
The REDS will wrap up round-robin play on Thursday with a morning game against Brock (2-3), at 11:30am Atlantic, and host Lethbridge (0-5), in a game scheduled to begin at 7:30pm Atlantic.
