UNB Scores Big Win Over CBU

(SYDNEY, NS) The CBU Capers dropped a 115-75 decision to the visiting UNB Varsity Reds Friday, in Sydney.

The Varsity Reds improve to 5-and-3 with the win. The Capers remain winless, at 0-and-8.

UNB used a balanced attack that featured five different players in double figures on the night.

UNB was led by Donnavan Hastings(Brampton, ON). He came off the bench to score a game-high 23 points. Javon Masters(Kitchener, ON) added 22 and moved into second place on Atlantic University Sport's regular season career scoring list. Jesse Kendall(Guelph, ON) added 19.

The Capers were led by Kenny Jean-Louis(Montreal, QC), with 17 points and 8 rebounds. Jack MacAulay(Charlottetown, PE) chipped in 14 points.

The Varsity Reds led from start to finish, and had an outstanding night of shooting. They shot 51.9% from three point land, and 54.4% from the field.

The Varsity Reds visit St. FX on Saturday. Game time is scheduled for 8:00PM.

The Capers host UPEI, on Friday.
