Varsity Reds pick up Serbian hoop prospect Nikola Mandic

The UNB Varsity Reds men's basketball program is extremely pleased to announce that Nikola Mandic from Belgrade, Serbia, will be joining the squad for the upcoming 2014-2015 season.

Mandic averaged 15 points and 10 rebounds per game with Gillette Junior College in Wyoming.

Head coach Brent Baker says he is definitely impressed with this latest addition to the Varsity Reds.

"At 6'9" and 215 lbs Nikola is a great addition for us as we try to bolster our frontline," Baker says.

"He is a true stretch four. He is fundamentally sound and has the ability to handle the ball and shoot with range."
