Two wins and a loss for men and women in weekend pre-season action

Both the men's and women's UNB basketball teams ended three days of pre-season action at the Accreon Helen Campbell and Eric Garland Tournament with two wins and a loss.

On day three, the women's team was strong against CBU, winning 65-56. The men played an action-packed game that went into overtime, where they were bested by CBU 94-101.

In day two, the women's team held on through a nail-biting finish for a 70-69 win against the Ryerson Rams. The men's team bested UPEI 96-82.

The Varsity Reds wrapped day one with a win for the men over UQAM and a loss for the women to Concordia.
