The UNB Varsity Reds men’s basketball program is pleased announce that Michael Fosu and Seth Amoah from the CCAA National Champion Vanier College CEGEP will be joining the Varsity Reds for the upcoming 2011-2012 season. The Montreal natives bring a championship pedigree to the V-Reds line-up having won the Quebec CEGEP provincial title and the national title during their 2009-10 campaign at Vanier.
Coach Baker is very pleased with the acquisition of these two recruits from Montreal. “Both bring a competitive toughness and winner’s mentality to the program. At 6’5 and 245lbs Michael brings the ability to rebound and defend in the low block, which we have been lacking in recent years. Seth’s athleticism allows him to defend a number of positions, while having the ability to slash and explode to the hoop,” added Coach Baker.
