(MONCTON, NB) The UNB Reds broke into the win column Sunday, scoring a 2-0 win over the Université de Moncton Aigles Bleues.
Abby Sullivan (Orleans, Mass.) scored in the 5th and 53rd minutes to lead the Reds. She was named Subway Player of the Game.
Rebecca Duda (Halifax, NS) made five saves in the UNB net to earn the clean sheet.
Chelsea Burnham (Saint John, NB) stopped eight of the ten Reds shots she faced in the Moncton net.
With the win, UNB moves into 9th place in the Atlantic University Sport standings with a 1-5-0 record.
Les Aigles Bleues are also 1-5-0, and sit in 8th place.
Next on the schedule for the Reds, a Saturday home game against the Saint Mary's Huskies.
Moncton visits UPEI on Friday.
