(HALIFAX, NS) The UNB Reds defeated the Saint Mary's Huskies 4-1 on Saturday, at Huskies Stadium.

UNB opened the scoring in the second half, in the 58th minute when fifth year midfielder Ben Gorringe (Mount Uniacke, NS) found a turnover inside SMU's 18-yard box and made a nice play on the ball with his left foot for a 1-0 Reds lead.

Keji Adeniyi (London, UK) added his first career Atlantic University Sport goal in the 70th minute, scoring on a deflection off the post for 2-0 UNB lead.

One minute later in the 71st, striker Tristan Nkoghe (Sherbrooke, QC) scored on a loose ball from a UNB corner kick.

Gorringe added his second of the match in the 87th minute.

Defender Cameron Zinn (Bridgewater, NS) scored in the 90th minute for Saint Mary's, who have lost four in a row and sit at 4-4 in conference play.

UNB outshot SMU 18-5 for the match.

Goalie Evan Barker (Winnipeg, MB) made three saves in the win for UNB.

A chippy match, UNB had 13 fouls compared to nine for SMU.

UNB improves to 3-2-2.

Both teams return to action next week with SMU visiting the Dal Tigers, and the Reds hosting Acadia in a match that starts at 3:15pm on Saturday.
