Moore Victorious In 50m Free

(HALIFAX, NS) The UNB REDS sit fourth in both the women's and men's standings following the second of three days of competition at the Kemp-Fry Invitational Meet, at Dalhousie.

The host Dal Tigers sit atop both the women's and men's standings, while Acadia sits second in both competitions.

Jennifer Moore recorded UNB's lone win of the day, swimming to victory in the women's 50m freestyle, in a time of 26.72 seconds.

UNB's Elodie Martin won the B Final in the women's 50m free.

Ella Lightheart recorded a 6th place finish in the women's 200m backstroke while Moore and Jessie Collett swam to 5th and 6th place finishes in the women's 200m free.

Moore, Martin and Collett teamed with Lauren Goodine to race to a third place finish in the women's 400m freestyle relay.

On the men's side, the REDS' Ethan Nestoruk was second in the men's 100m breaststroke.

The event concludes Sunday with prelims and finals.

The Kemp-Fry is the third event on the 2022-23 Atlantic University Sport swimming schedule.
