Esposito was named to the Varsity Reds coaching staff in June of 2017, shortly after the appointment of Sarah Hilworth as the team's head coach.

She remained active as a professional player, with the Calgary Inferno, of the Canadian Women's Hockey League, until April of 2018, when she retired from playing.

Esposito helped the Inferno capture the Clarkson Cup in 2016.

She played her collegiate hockey at Northeastern University, serving as an assistant captain in her final season. That same season, she was also named a Hockey East 2nd Team All-Star.

Esposito was a member of the Hockey East All-Academic Team every season at Northeastern, and she scored the first goal in the first women's college hockey game ever played outdoors, on January 8th, 2010, at Boston's Fenway Park.
