(SYDNEY, NS) The Cape Breton Capers beat the UNB Reds 78-67 on Saturday, earning a weekend sweep of their two game series.

The Capers were led by a dominant low post game.

Forward Hannah Brown (North Sydney, NS) had 31 points and nine rebounds, earning Subway Player of the Game honours. Guards Monique Calliste (Toronto, ON) and Toni Bianchini (Groves Point, NS) had 15 and 16 points respectively. 

The Reds were led by Mikaela Dodig (Bolton, ON), who scored 24 points and added five rebounds. Grace Simpson (Fredericton, NB) had 19 points and five rebounds. 

For the most part, it was a close contest, until CBU went on a 24-10 run to close the game. 

The Capers are now 5-0, while the Reds fall to 4-2.

Up next for Cape Breton, the Memorial Sea Hawks, who visit Sydney next Saturday, for a 6:00pm start. The Reds host the UPEI Panthers at the same time.
