(SYDNEY, NS) The Cape Breton University Capers outscored the UNB Varsity Reds down the stretch, in a 64-54 win, at CBU's pre-season Debbie Ruiz Memorial Tournament.

The game was tied 34-34 at the half, and 45-45 after three quarters.

Colleen Keane(Scarborough, ON) scored a game high 22 points to lead the Capers, who improved to 2-0 in pre-season play.

Grace Wade(Moncton, NB) scored 15 points to lead the Varsity Reds.

Both teams are back in action, on Saturday.

UNB takes on the University of Toronto Varsity Blues, while Cape Breton faces McGill.

Debbie Ruiz was an AUS all-star with the Capers. She recently lost a battle with cancer.
