(FREDERICTON, NB) Second-year midfielder Stefano D’Ambrogio scored twice, including once on a penalty, to lead the UNB REDS to a 3-0 preseason win over the UNB Saint John Seawolves.
D’Ambrogio scored in the 43rd minute and again, from the penalty spot, early in the second half.
Roan Saengmeng scored UNB’s third goal.
The win improves the REDS’ preseason record to 2-1-1.
The REDS play in Atlantic University Sport while the Seawolves compete in the Atlantic Collegiate Athletic Association.
Louis-Charles Viallancourt and Ethan Adams, for the REDS, and Emmett Workman, for the Seawolves, were the keepers of record.
The REDS now prepare for their 2022 AUS regular season opener, at Moncton, on September 11th.
