Title: General Manager, Men's Hockey

In addition to his role as the General Manager of the UNB Varsity Reds, Roger Shannon is in his fourth season with the Moncton Wildcats (QMJHL). As Director of Hockey Operations, his primary responsibilities include hockey operation administration, scouting, player development programs and the Moncton Wildcats education program. He is a graduate of the University of New Brunswick in the Business Adminstration program as well as the Royal Canadian Mounted Police in Regina, Saskatchewan.

Mr. Shannon brings a wealth of experience to the organization - he is one of the co-founders of the UNB Varsity Red Prospects development program and has served as the team's General Manager for the past 16 seasons, during which they have won four national championships. He has also served as a scout for the Acadie-Bathurst Titan, Director of Scouting and General Manager for the Lewiston Maineiacs and Assistant General Manager of the 2012 Memorial Cup Champions: the Shawinigan Cataractes - all members of the QMJHL.

He is married with two children, a daughter and a son both in university.
