The UNB Varsity Reds men’s basketball program is pleased to announce that Ryan Smith will transfer from Mount Saint Vincent to join the UNB squad for the upcoming 2012-2013 season.  
 
Smith was the 2010 NBIAA conference player of year for the Dalhousie High School Condors.  The Dalhousie, NB, native was also a member of the ACAA 2010-11 championship team that participated in two CCAA National tournaments with the Mount Saint Vincent Mystics.
 
Coach Baker is definitely pleased with the latest addition to the V-Red’s program.  “Ryan’s ability to play a number of positions and defend players of size makes him a great fit for our program.  He brings leadership through his work ethic and demonstrated ability to perform at a high level.”
