Tigers Take Down REDS

(Fredericton, NB) A hat trick from Jaegar Cull helped lead the Dalhousie Tigers to a 10-3 win over the UNB REDS on Saturday afternoon at the BMO Centre. 

 

The teams would battle in a close competitive first half. The Tigers would open the scoring to start the game with Cull netting his first of the game 8:36 in the first quarter. 

 

UNB would answer back with a goal from Trai Maxwell who fired home a short from the wing to tie the game up. Maxwell was recently promoted to a more prominent offensive role for the REDS and has certainly seized his opportunity netting two goals on Saturday. 

 

The top-ranked Tigers offense would come alive after that point though scoring 4 unanswered goals to pull out to a comfortable 5-1 lead before REDS midfielder, Nick Parson would find the back of the net at 6:50 of the 3rd quarter. 

 

Dalhousie wasn’t phase though and continued they're offensive onslaught netting 5 mores goals on route to a comfortable 10-3 victory. 

 

The REDS will now head into the final weekend of the Maritime University Field Lacrosse Season where they will face the UPEI Panthers at home on Saturday, Oct. 29 at 7 PM before travelling to Antigonish to take on the St. FX X-men on Sunday, Oct. 30.
