(MONCTON, NB) The UNB Reds won their third straight match, improving to 6-and-5, with a 3-1 victory over les Aigles Bleues, in Moncton, on Saturday.

The Reds won with scores of 25-14, 21-25, 25-18, and 25-14.

Adora Rooyakkers (Port Hawkesbury, NS) led the Reds effort, recording 15 kills and 13 digs, while Victoria Eadle (Gallagher Ridge, NB) added 10 kills and 11 digs.

Paige Lehto (North Vancouver, BC) had 39 assists, and Kelsie Dukart (Parkland County, AB) had 14 digs.

"We were happy with certain aspects of our game, but certainly are looking to continue to improve through the weekend," said Reds head coach Christine Biggs. "We did a great job of getting contributions from everyone and keeping things balanced. When things weren't going well, we did a good job of re-focusing and getting back on track."

For the home team, Emily Robichaud (Dieppe, NB) had a match-high 16 digs, while Eliza Druart (Gallagher Ridge, NB) recorded 11 kills.

"Our out of system game management was stronger and more balanced tonight," said Biggs. "We were aggressive when we needed to be, and patient and willing to play through long rallies."

The Reds now head to Halifax to face the unbeaten Dalhousie Tigers on Sunday. That match is scheduled to begin at 2:00pm.

Moncton, now 4-and-9, will visit the Tigers next Friday.
