(MONCTON, NB) Maggie McLenahan (Oromocto, NB) had a match-high 22 digs, including the 1000th of her Atlantic University Sport career, as the UNB Reds beat l'Université de Moncton Aigles Bleues 3-1 on Saturday.

UNB won with scores of 25-11, 25-16, 25-27, and 25-16.

Megan Kuciak (Ottawa, ON) led the Reds with 20 kills and 15 digs, while Victoria Eadle (Gallagher Ridge, NB) added 12 kills and 13 digs.

First-year setter Catherine Burns (Fredericton, NB) had 40 serve assists and three service aces, while Olivia Valentia (North Bay, ON) registered 11 digs.

For the home team, Pascale Doiron (Dieppe, NB) had 15 kills and 14 digs, while Joanie Arsenault (Tracadie-Sheila, NB) had 21 digs.

With the win, UNB's record improves to 9-7, good for 3rd in the AUS.

Moncton is now 3-14, and sitting in 5th place.

Les Aigles Bleues host Acadia on Sunday.

The Reds return home for a three-match series with the Memorial Sea-Hawks. That starts Friday, with the first serve scheduled for 7:30pm, at the Richard J. Currie Center.
