Bio

In 2025-2026 Madlynn is in her fourth season as Assistant Coach of the REDS men’s and women’s swimming teams.

Madlynn has over 14 years of experience coaching swimming and is an National Coaching Certification Program Level 2 certified coach.

She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Recreation and Leisure Studies and a Masters of Education in Educational Leadership where her studies focused on behavioral skills achieved through sport in post-secondary student-athletes. Her passion stems from being a competitive swimmer herself. Madlynn swam for the University of Waterloo Warriors for five years.

Madlynn believes in the power of resilience through adversity, and hopes to inspire her athletes to challenge themselves through their unique endeavors. She continues to share her love and passion for the sport of swimming with the athletes and coaches she gets to work with.

Outside of coaching the REDS, Madlynn works full-time for the Canadian Forces Morale and Welfare Services, where she manages the Canadian International Military Sport program. In her spare time she enjoys cycling, running, and spending time with her family.
