(HALIFAX, NS) Keepers proved the critical role players Friday night, as the UNB REDS and Saint Mary's Huskies played to a 0-0 draw at Huskies Stadium, in Halifax.

Saint Mary's keeper Ryan Davis (Lake Loon, NS) posted a seven save clean sheet and REDS keeper Louis-Charles Vaillancourt (Sherbrooke, QC) made five saves.

The Huskies best chance on the first half came in the 38th minute when forward James Spence (Hammonds Plains, NS), had an opportunity to finish a cross from Adam Dunsworth (Halifax, NS) but was stopped by Vaillancourt.

Moments later it was the REDS who had a great chance, as striker Luke Rosettani (Kanata, ON) had a clear look at goal, but Davis made a diving save just before the official blew his whistle for halftime.

Davis continued his strong play in the second half with several great saves and got a little help from his defence on a corner kick in the 74th minute.

Cian Tousignant-Osiadhail (Timberlea, NS) cleared a scoring chance off the line to keep the game scoreless, and 90 minutes went without a goal for either side.

Davis was named Subway Player of the Game.

With the draw, the Huskies now stand at 6-3-2. They'll be back on home turf next Saturday, hosting Memorial.

The REDS are now 6-1-2 and returns to action Saturday, at Acadia. Game time is scheduled for 7:15pm.
