Reds Earn 0-0 Draw At SMU

(HALIFAX, NS) Rookie goalkeeper Jensen Brown (Enfield, NS) survived an onslaught from UNB on Sunday afternoon in Saint Mary's 0-0 draw in Atlantic University Sport men's soccer action.

Both squads had chances throughout the match as both teams combined for 22 shots.

UNB held a slight advantage in corner kicks over Saint Mary's, 13-10.

Brown recorded seven saves in the second-half for the Huskies, while UNB's keeper Evan Barker (Winnipeg, MB) made three saves for the clean sheet.

For his efforts, Brown was named the Subway Player of the Game.

UNB improves to 5-2-3 and sits in third place in AUS standings after seeing their five-game win streak snapped in the draw.

SMU has a 3-3-3 record and hold the sixth and final playoff spot with three games to play.

Both teams return to action next weekend.

UNB hosts Mount Allison on Saturday.

The Huskies are home to Moncton on Friday.
