(WOLFVILLE, NS) The UNB Reds won their fifth consecutive game Friday, beating the Acadia Axemen 2-0, in Wolfville.

No goals were scored in the first half, though there was plenty of action on either end. It looked like the Reds had a goal at 39 minutes, but it was called back due to an offside.

The Reds finally got on the board when Luis Garcia (San Antonio, Tex.) sent a corner kick out front for Joe Hamilton (Morecambe, UK), who recorded his first goal of the season.

The Axemen fell to a 2-0 deficit late in the second half when Tristan Nkoghe (Sherbrooke, QC) tapped the ball into a wide-open net off a well-placed pass from teammate Alex O'Brien (Charlottetown, PE).

Nkoghe's goal was good enough to earn him Subway Player of the Game honours.

Acadia went into a mode of desperation in the final few minutes, where they had some of their best chances of the game, but they would be shut-out 2-0.

The Axemen fall to 5-3-0 and look to rebound against Moncton on Sunday, while the Reds improve ot 5-2-2 and visit the Saint Mary's Huskies on Sunday.
