UNB Wins Second Straight

(MONCTON, NB) The UNB Reds earned their second win in as many days, scoring a 4-2 win over the Université de Moncton Aigles Bleus, at Moncton Stadium.

Tristan Nkoghe (Sherbrooke, QC) and Dan Walker (Fredericton, NB) scored first half goals, and Luis Garcia (San Antonio, Tex.) and Joe Hamilton (Morecambe, UK) added second half goals for the Reds.

Walker's goal came on a penalty kick.

Jean-Michel Dako (Quebec City, QC) and Saad Mersadi (Marrakesh, Mor.) scored for Moncton.

Mersadi's goal, like Walker's, came from the penalty spot.

The Reds' Garcia was named Subway Player of the Game.

With the win, the Reds improve to 2-2-2 and move into 6th place in the Atlantic University Sport standings.

Moncton remains winless and in 10th place in the AUS.

UNB returns to action on Saturday, when they host the Saint Mary's Huskies.

Moncton travels to UPEI on Friday.
