Reds Draw With No. 1 Capers

(SYDNEY, NS) Alex O'Brien (Charlottetown, PE) scored late in the first half to lift the UNB Reds to a 1-1 draw with U SPORTS top-ranked Cape Breton Capers, on Saturday.

The two sides played a scoreless first half in what was largely a defensive affair.

CBU's Daniel Williams (Pierrefonds, QC) opened the scoring, in the 51st minute.

Reds keeper Evan Barker (Winnipeg, MB) and his Capers counterpart, Ben Jackson (Bury, UK), each made four saves.

Keji Adeniyi (London, UK) assisted on O'Brien's goal.

UNB heads to Antigonish on Sunday. The Reds and St FX kick off at 3:15pm.
