(FREDERICTON, NB) Ibrahima Doumbouya (Calgary, AB) had 19 points and 11 rebounds as the UNB Reds beat the UPEI Panthers 90-64 on Saturday night.

"When everyone is engaged it's really easy to play and score," said Doumbouya. "There are a lot of great people on this team and they are all ready to play and want to do something great for the team."

Doumbouya was named Subway Player of the Game in the 4-point affair.

The Reds improve their record to 5-2 while the Panthers drop to 3-4.

The Reds started strong, taking a 24-14 lead in the first quarter.

UNB would build on their lead with more strong play in the second to make it 52-31 at halftime.

The Panthers would continue to have no answers for the Reds, who completely took over in the back half of the game, growing their lead to as much as 32 points.

Jesse Kendall (Guelph, ON) put in a solid effort for the Reds, going 5-7 from the three-point line and scoring 19 total points.

Samuel Campbell (Vaughan, ON) led the Panthers with 18 points and five rebounds.

Both teams now head into their mid-season break.
