Jon Crossland, head coach of the REDS women’s soccer team, is the PSLA’s lead facilitator, and will provide content, instruction and guidance through all levels of the Academy.

 

IMPACTFUL Leaders

2^nd year student-athletes

Student-athletes have experienced a year as a student-athlete at UNB and are developing a larger role within their team. Focus will be on developing individual responsibilities of a leader and how these can impact your role within your team.

This group will meet three times each semester plus a monthly speaker series.

Topics to include:

·         Introduction

·         Choices and Commitment

·         Confidence

·         Mid-season Panel

·         Credible Character

·         Composure

·         End of season Panel

 

 

SENIOR LEADERS

3^rd amd 4^th year student-athletes

Veteran student-athletes that have larger leadership roles within their teams. These student-athletes are now responsible for leading others and the focus of Senior Leaders will be to develop skills needed to impact their teammates and team.

This group will meet three times each plus a monthly speaker series.

Topics to include:

·         Introduction

·         Candor and Communication

·         Connection

·         Mid-season Panel

·         Refocuser

·         Coaches Panel

·         End of season Panel

 

 

ELITE LEADERS

4^th and 5^th year student-athletes

Top student-athletes that have completed each of the first two levels of PSLA. These student-athletes are captains or members of their team’s leadership group with a keen desire to develop their leadership skills to impact their team now, but also prepare them for leadership opportunities in the future.

This group will meet 3 times each semester plus a monthly speaker series.

Topics to include:

·         360 Evaluation

·         Growth Plan

·         Team Building

·         Mid-season Panel

·         Mentoring Impactful leaders’ group

·         Hope to pare them with a UNB REDS alum as a mentor based on sport and or career interest.
