The UNB REDS/Valley Graphics female Athlete of the Month, for October, is Lily George, of the women’s hockey team.
The fourth-year forward was dominant as the REDS scored seven wins in their first eight games of the 2022-23 Atlantic University Sport season.
She scored six goals, including a hat-trick in one game, and assisted on four others during the month.
“Lily’s tenaciousness and skill were on display last month,” said REDS’ head coach Sarah Hilworth. “She was electric and was a difference-maker in almost every game. It’s exciting to see her get rewarded for all of her hard work.”
