The UNB Reds/Valley Graphics female Athlete of the Month, for October, is Danika Lefebvre, from the women’s soccer team.
Lefebvre had a break-out month, scoring seven goals in seven games as the Reds advanced to the semi-final round at the Atlantic University Sport championship tournament.
She scored six goals as the Reds went 3-1-1 to end the regular season, including a three-goal outburst in a win at Mount Allison. Twice, she was named the player of the game.
She scored a crucial goal in UNB’s upset win over Dal in the AUS quarter-finals.
Lefebvre capped the month being named a 2nd Team AUS All-Star and a 2018-19 Academic All-Canadian.
